What is mindbodyJOY?

mindbodyJOY is an online chronic joy community for people living with pain, stress, anxiety, and other chronic symptoms who miss more lightness and ease and are tired of doing it all alone. Together, we gently practice bringing joy, play, and creativity back into everyday life in tiny, doable ways.

It is part science, part play. We call it a healing playground for adults. 
We draw on neuroplasticity (the brain and nervous system’s ability to change) and use small, kind “microdoses” of positive experiences to help nudge a system that has been under a lot of pressure toward more ease and aliveness.

Is this a medical or therapy program?

No. mindbodyJOY is an experiential, educational, and community space, not medical care or psychotherapy. Nothing inside is intended to diagnose, treat, or replace professional medical or mental health support. Think of it as a parallel track to whatever treatment or support you already have, focused on rebuilding joy, connection, and possibility and thereby enhancing your recovery.

How can joy and play help with my recovery?

Joy isn’t just an emotion — it’s a biological input that helps your brain and body feel safe. When you experience joy or play, your nervous system shifts out of threat mode and into healing mode.
Moments of lightness release dopamine and endorphins, calm stress hormones such as cortisol, and build new neural pathways that support safety, connection, and resilience.

Joy isn’t what comes after recovery — it’s a catalyst for healing.

Chronic symptoms often pull the nervous system toward constant threat and problem-solving. Joy, curiosity, creativity, and human connection give the brain real-time evidence that other states are also possible. When we practice these in very small, manageable ways, we gently train the nervous system toward a broader range of responses and an increased felt sense of safety. We do not promise a cure. We focus on shifting the balance a little more toward the positive, in ways that respect your health situation.

Question 4

Do I need to know anything about mindbody concepts to join?

Accepted Answer

No. Mindbody knowledge or previous mindbody work is not required. You are welcome whether or not you have ever heard the word “neuroplasticity.” We keep things simple and practical, and you can take in as much of the science side as feels interesting and helpful. We simply look at the entire human being (mind and body), not just at a body part that’s causing symptoms.

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Basic Membership includes a free 14-day trial for new members. This gives you time to experience the community and live rhythm before you decide to continue.

The prepaid Joy Reboot Bundle and the premium “Your Personal Joy Roadmap” Course do not include a trial.
